(Rightallegiance.com) – Body remains were found by fisherman. This body was “wrapped in heavy tire chains anchored with a hydraulic jack” according to the Kentucky state police. This body was found in a Kentucky lake. The remains have been identified as a man who was wanted by the FBI.
With the recent advancements in DNA footprints, the remains of Roger Parham have been identified as the body that was discovered on May 6, 1999.
Parham was wanted by the FBI for a rape charge in the state of Arkansas. The FBI in the 90s thought that he fled Arkansas and could have gone across borders to Mexico.
In 1999, the police force and scientists were unable to identify this man using traditional DNA techniques. In 2016, they also tried using DNA technology and examining dental and forensic information, but to no avail.
But as the police of Kentucky began working with Othram Inc, a lab that specializes in forensic genealogy, they found a relative that matched the body remains. With some surveying, they concluded that this body was Roger Parham.
Because of the instance surrounding Parham’s death, the case is now being investigated as a homicide.
